This is album is amazing it shows growth and maturity especially on the I Am side. The Sasha Fierce is the fun club songs, but I Am showcases Beyonce's vocal range and has lyrics that pulls u into her world. When it comes to Beyonce at times its hard to find an honest critic. This is one of the best albums she has done in her solo career, this album does not have one particular vibe its array of music for her diverse fan population.

I was blown away the first time I turned on this album. It was the first time I had ever sampled Beyonce and i was dumbstruck.
It is one of the best items I own. Simply put, If you love music, you must have this album.

I'll be completely honest, when I first heard there was going to be a 2 disc album one for Beyonce and one for Sasha (Fierce). I was extremely skeptical, I mean how can any artist showcase their alter ego, but somehow Beyonce pulled it off brilliantly. I am... or Disc one is the more down to earth Beyonce that shows off a different side we have yet to hear thus far, this one is more for the listeners that want to hear the ballads to mid tempos. while Sasha Fierce allowed B to be more edgy and street than we have heard before. To me with this album she appeased every fan, and I absolutely love it.
Beyonce: Fierce & Gentle November 18, 2008
Beyonce returns again to deliver us again a new set of material. This time she brings along her alter-ego, Sasha Fierce. The "I Am" portion is simply beautiful. The lyrics are well-done and Beyonce sounds better than ever. "If I Were A Boy" is moving and a pleasure to listen to. "I Am" is gentle, deep, and very personal.
The "Sasha Fierce" portion of the album is simply Fierce. The songs are very upbeat and club-ready. Just like "Single Ladies," the songs make you want to get up on the dance floor. "Fierce" is very experimental and very danceable.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this album. It is Beyonce at her best. She shows that she can be Fierce & Gentle all in one album. Enjoy.
