McCain Blend is Donut Shop mm-mmm GOOD! October 6, 2008 38 out of 42 found this review helpful
This is the re-branded version of Coffee People's Donut Shop blend, a nice flavored brew that is still strong enough to use as that first cup in the morning but flavorful enough to enjoy anytime. A very versatile blend: Donut Shop, Obama, and McCain blends are identical.
Don't know if the boxes will ever be collector grade, but they are great fun and sometimes, exciting conversation pieces as well! Just enjoy the coffee, it is the one great constant in these days - let's hope THAT doesn't change.
Bitter and stale, but comes to a fast and furious boil October 5, 2008 22 out of 52 found this review helpful
The McCain blend tastes different every day, like it was designed by a committee of chemists who couldn't agree on what artificial flavorings would appeal most to the consumer. Really, the only consistencies are bitterness and staleness. But the bitterness, oh my. So, so bitter. I guess that's what happens to coffee when it sits on the shelf for years, waiting to be bought. It just gets more and more bitter. It kind of tastes desperate.
On the plus side, it boils without the application of any external heat source. Just question its confused flavor and it begins to roil furiously. I think crazy people who live out in the woods in bunkers with no electricity would find this useful and appealing.
Politics not reviews October 15, 2008 12 out of 15 found this review helpful
Hey folks -- If you'll read all the previous reviews written by "the frankenstein " and M kooiman you'll see that their blurbs have nothing to do with the coffee. Mkooiman in her previous review indeed stated that the Mc Cain coffee and Obama coffee are the same--- and very good.
Refreshing Change from the ordinary October 6, 2008 10 out of 26 found this review helpful
This coffee is a unique and a refreshing change from the typical elected coffees. A true Maverick of a blend. A crisp hint of fresh cold Alaskan air in the aroma, with a nice warm honest PALette. Always brews just Right! Highly recommended to those seeking an honest change, and a reduction in excessive and abusive spending! True and Blue!
